My
name is Jordan Hemingway – I am an ambitious 15 year
old student. I love radio… whether it’s reading the news,
presenting a show, or producing some jingles, I’m on the
case.
I first started off my ambition at the age of 10, by getting
a full mobile disco setup for Christmas. Since then, things
have gone from strength to strength - I have done many children’s
parties around West Yorkshire, as well as Football and Rugby
Club presentation nights.
I decided to try radio, as I am a constant listener to my
favourite radio station, Huddersfield’s 107.9 Home FM. Currently,
I present on Morley FM Community Radio (an RSL Station)
and I still do mobile discos around West Yorkshire. I am
also a volunteer at both HWD Hospital Radio, where I present
the Monday Evening Show, as well as Kendal Hospital Radio
- where I present the Weekend Breakfast Shows.
In the future, I would love Morley FM to become a full-time
community radio station, as I really enjoy being part of
the team – and when I leave school, I would love to work
full-time in radio.
